Plantage children’s lectures

Light and dark series

Do you know why leaves are green? How the Dutch sailors centuries ago, found their way at sea in the dark? Or how many lights illuminated the theater stage of CarrĂ©? During the Plantage Children’s Lectures you’ll learn all about light and how light is important for humans, animals and nature. The best thing is that you always come to a new place to learn about the same theme. At the Jewish Historical Museum you learn about the role of solar energy in the Jewish calendar and the Tropenmuseum tells you about light and shadow in the Javanese puppetshows. Always wanted to know where the lightning comes from? NEMO puts it out of you.

For the parents:

The Plantage Children’s Lectures are Dutch spoken and will be planned on several Sundays throughout 2012 . Every lecture has an interactive program. Children can subscribe themselves for one lecture at a time, but also for the entire series to follow. The complete program will soon be published here. The lectures are suitable for children from 8 t / m 12 years.
