Walk 1 takes you through the heart of the Plantage and tells you aubout the origins of the neighborhood, including the history of Artis, the Hermitage and the Hortus. How did a Portuguese Synagogue end up in Amsterdam and find out what  happened in the Plantage during the Second World War? The walk takes about one hour and 15 minutes.
