plantage EBS bus arrangement
Hop on the local bus and see Holland the Dutch way!
Escape the tourists and go local! Head out into the Dutch countryside on one of Holland’s loveliest bus routes, taken by local Amsterdammers every day. In just minutes, you’ll find yourself riding along century-old dikes, eating pancakes in tiny villages and boating past the homes of Holland’s 17th century rich and famous. We’ve mapped out a few inspiring tours – but feel free to create your own local experience!
Just ± 20 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station, you can wander true tiny streets and canals in Broek in Waterland. After a stroll along the wooden houses and 14th century Saint Nicholas church you can reload in the “De Witte Swaen Pancake House”. Show your EBS ticket and get a free Dutch liqueur when you order a pancake. In the open air museum Marken you will receive a 10% discount and a nice little gift from the Sijtje Boes Shop. Enjoy the mouthwatering scent of a free chocolate truffle with your coffee in Café Coffee & Cacao in Monnickendam or receive a discount for Waterland’s Speeltoren Museum.
Buy the EBS ticket for € 10,- at the EBS booth, located behind Amsterdam Central Station, in the VVV tourism office in front of Amsterdam Central Station or directly from your EBS bus driver. We’ve mapped out a few inspiring tours – but feel free to create your own local experience. Take the local bus trip and go Dutch!
This arrangement is valid from July 1 to October 31 2013.
